Introduction To EasyApache 4.

EasyApache 4 performs installations, configurations, updates, and validates your web server, PHP, and other components of your web server.

EasyApache 4 was introduced in cPanel & WHM version 11.52 and now is known as a stable product.

EasyApache 4

As of version 58, EasyApache 4 is the default for any new cPanel installation.

  • cPanel & WHM does not require that you just use EasyApache 4, but it provides a straightforward and convenient methodology to modify your web server. Your cPanel & WHM license by default includes the EasyApache 4 software.
  • cPanel & WHM installs EasyApache 4 by default on new installations of systems that run cPanel & WHM version 58 and higher.

How  EasyApache 4  works better than older versions :

  • Building with EasyApache 4 is Fast

    No need to fully recompile of Apache and PHP for adding a new module. With EasyApache 4 deliver Apache, PHP, and our supported PHP modules as RPMs, which means you can add a new module in seconds.

  • Updates are  Automatic  with EasyApache 4

    As EasyApache 4 is all RPM based hence the operating system automatically takes care of updates for you.

  •   PHP7 Support included in EasyApache 4

PHP7 will only be available for cPanel & WHM customers as part of EasyApache 4, also cPanel is considering adding PHP 7.1, which just entered its third Alpha.

  • Multiple versions of PHP supported: EasyApache 4

    With cPanel & WHM version 58, They are adding the ability to manage multiple PHP versions from WHM.

  • Easy to switch to EasyApache 4

    Switching  on easyapache4 is easy to do using a simple command-line script, and also the conversion process requires no additional work from you

    All  EasyApache RPMs are open source and they are freely available on GitHub!

    Advanced users who need to customize the EasyApache 4 RPMs provided by cPanel. However, they can do it easily.

  • Software collections

    EasyApache 4 uses the Software Collections Library (SCL) for PHP packages. SCLs enable the installation of multiple and concurrent version of PHP on the file system.
